We’re The Stories From Elis, a film crew led by Zoltan Elias. You’ll be spending a fair part of your wedding day with us, so a proper introduction feels right.
We each bring a different eye to the day, with a shared love for good light, interesting people, and films with a point of view. Here’s a little about the people behind yours.
Meet the Team
Zoltan Elias
FOUNDER / LEAD FILMMAKER & EDITOR
I started The Stories From Elis over eleven years ago. For a long time, it was just me. As the weddings grew in scale and ambition, so did the team. Today, I lead the creative direction, filming, and final edit, alongside people I trust.
The name is personal, too. Elis comes from Elias. It’s what people often call me, and it felt right to put that familiarity into the name. The Stories From Elis.
Mario
SECOND CINEMATOGRAPHER / SUPER 8 FILM
Mario has an exceptional eye for composition and a knack for being exactly where I need him. While I’m following one moment, he’s finding another perspective, a reaction, or a frame I would have missed. He also shoots our Super 8 footage, bringing the texture of real analogue film into the story. A very good person to have on the other camera.
Jacob
ADDITIONAL CINEMATOGRAPHER / ASSISTANT & EDITOR
On bigger weddings, Jacob is the extra pair of hands I trust. He joins us behind a third camera, assists wherever he’s needed, and helps keep things moving when several moments are happening at once. He also steps into the edit when there are plenty of films to deliver. Someone I can count on, on the day and long after we’ve packed up.
